p.s. that is definitely not me, but hopefully someday it will be
Yoga, wonderful amazing good for you yoga. Everyone knows that yoga is "good for you" but like most things that are good for you, people often ignore, and don't carve out time in their lives for. Usually because they don't produce any money and are hard.
I must admit, I used to be/still am on occasion, that type of person. I got swept up in the rat race, was doing everything that was excepted of me, but nothing actually for me. And I got really depressed (and I mean really) and realized that this can't be what life is all about, it just can't. And my first step on this journey towards a more fulfilled life was when I walked into a yoga class at my local 24 hour fitness, and met Mireia Yogimani.
Yogimani's practices are spiritual and sincere. I love her classes because she teaches from her heart, and associates the posses the flow of the yoga with life and your true self. She presents the entry level pose along with the more advanced poses showing that each step is towards something greater. I leave her classes feeling inspired and rejuvenated from within. I didn't know it was possible to leave a one hour yoga class feeling so refreshed, needless to say I was instantly addicted.
After going to a class once a week for a month or so, I found myself taking deep yoga breaths through out the day, getting the itch to stretch and move my body, and craving what I can only describe as the flow. But what I really became addicted to was the obvious progress I was making. In two weeks I could do a partial wheel (where you are on the top of your head not up on your hands), and after four weeks I could do a full wheel all by myself! (I seriously couldn't believe I did it) Now I am trying to do yoga a few more times a week, but it is hard, like I said earlier, to make the time.
I am thinking about getting my teacher's certificate later this year, to learn more about the spiritual side of yoga and dive deeper into the practice.
